PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Directs, coordinates and supervises bargaining unit personnel engaged in repair and refurbishment activities for the Supply Operations organization. Manage resources in a manner that ensures safe, efficient, economical and timely completion of work, consistent with strategic initiatives.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Direct bargaining employees engaged in the execution of scheduled and emergent work activities, to assure the highest levels of customer service in an effort to help achieve Exelon's safety, reliability and performance goals. Analyze make verses buy decisions for equipment and material. (60%)
• Engage local union stewards to effectively facilitate the Collective Bargaining Agreement. (10%)
• Promote and maintain an environment that fosters a high performance culture. Serve as a change agent for various business initiatives. Provide timely feedback and, where warranted, recognition of employee contributions. (10%)
• Facilitates open and honest communication with staff. Assures that upward communication is integrated into the process, including employees concerns and complaints. Develop methods to assess communication effectiveness and implement continuous improvement initiatives. (10%)
• Establish, maintain and improve relationships with other departments within Exelon. (10%)
• Support the Business Units' Emergency Response activities as assigned

JOB SCOPE

• This position is responsible for day-to-day supervision of an organization of up to 15 bargaining unit employees as direct reports.
• Coordinates resources to provide safe, reliable, and cost effective services that include equipment repair, machining and fabrication.
• Interfaces with Operations and cross-functional work teams /streams (operations, engineering, IT, customer service & Energy Delivery management) to align equipment repair services with clients needs.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, science or related field with 4-7 years' experience or in lieu of degree, 6-9 years of experience
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Passport and other computer skills.
• Requires a working knowledge of Company Safety rulebook, Work Practices and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Ability to provide leadership and solid communication skills, as found in a high performance culture.
• Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust and communicate effectively.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies including technology and performance.
• 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
• Successful completion of Supervisory Assessment.
