Winnebago Towables has an immediate need for an experienced candidate to fill a Show and Event Specialist/RV Technician position. This position will be based at Winnebago’s Middlebury, Indiana location.

Primary Objective of Position:

• Plan, coordinate, set up and tear down of corporate displays at selected shows and events
• At all times, present the company’s products in and exceptionally professional condition. Including washing, detailing, merchandising, and propping them for display
• Maintain company equipment in a clean, functional, up-to-date manner. This includes careful setup and tear down, transporting and storing properly
• Interact and communicate with dealers, show coordinators and Winnebago Marketing and Product teams to maximize show patrons experience.
• Secure and maintain proper credentials to legally operate company vehicles and equipment associated with this position. This includes submitting required paperwork to company’s HR or transportation department (complete, accurate and on time).
• During nonevent periods, this role will be multifaceted and aid various areas of the business as support is need. These tasks will consist of but not limited to the following:
  • Move units from production to storage/dispatch area as needed
  • Local parts pickup or support for purchasing
  • Technician support, inspect, assess, diagnose complete variety of repairs to units that support, sales, marketing, service, and operations. Some repair work maybe offsite and require travel to a holding yard or dealer partner.
  • Provide Cross functional support within the Towable business as requested.
• Maintain a neat and orderly production area by sweeping, removal of trash and discarded parts as well as other actions required to maintain the appearance of the production area
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes

Key Competencies:

• Travel expected 25% of the time
• Demonstrates analytical problem-solving skills while using good judgement and decision-making processes
• Critical thinking ability, problem sensitivity and inductive reasoning skills are needed

• Excellent record keeping skills
• General knowledge of RV repair processes
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient with industrial tools and equipment

Preferred Experience and Education:

• Forklift required
• Valid driver’s license required, CDL Preferred
• RVIA and HVAC Certified
