HJF is seeking a Smartsheet Developer/Systems Administrator II who will facilitate the administration of the Smartsheet application, design tools, and content that aligns with the Branch’s mission and has cross-functional utility for DCB’s departments and work units. The incumbent must be a detail-oriented thinker exhibiting analytical and creative problem-solving skills and possess a mastery of Smartsheet’s Core and Premium Applications (Apps).
This position will be in support of the Diagnostics and Countermeasures Branch (DCB). The Smartsheet Developer/Systems Administrator II is responsible for the management and development of Smartsheet solutions to support the needs of the Diagnostics and Countermeasures Branch (DCB), in the Center for Infectious Disease Research (CIDR), at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR).

Responsibilities
  • Works to configure and develop solutions in Smartsheet in support of clinical research activities and DCB operations.
  • Partners with Department Leads to identify and define requirements and deliver solutions that meet end-user expectations.
  • Manages the creation and development of new Smartsheet solutions with DCB stakeholders and ensures integration and harmonization of solutions across DCB’s Smartsheet environment.
  • Creates documentation for solutions developed, including, but not limited to, project plans and work instructions.
  • Leads the deployment of new Smartsheet solutions.
  • Enhances the organization's Smartsheet knowledge through training and establishment of Smartsheet working groups.
  • Administers DCB’s Smartsheet accounts in coordination with the DCB IT Systems team.
  • Identifies issues with solutions and resolves as needed with a focus on overall quality improvement to implementation of Smartsheet solutions.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Advanced skills with system device management and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet Core application and Premium apps including Control Center, Dynamic View, Data Shuttle, Data Mesh, Work Apps, Pivot, Calendar, and experience serving as a Smartsheet Administrator for a prior organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to utilize computer applications packages, such as MS Office (Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Pro or Nitro PDF.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to work with a wide variety of personnel of varied technical knowledge.

  • Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs.

Qualifications
Work Environment
  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
Education and Experience
  • Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years experience required. Specifically, 3 years of Smartsheet experience is required.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Smartsheet Certified (System Administrator, Core Product) preferred.
