Social Media Manager

Marketini is looking for a dynamic, creative and experienced Social Media Manager to join our team. This person will help lead Marketini's strategic storytelling on social, communicating businesses' sense of community and unmatched culture through an engaging social-first lens—while fostering a strong and passionate digital community of brand advocates. Core responsibilities include social strategy and campaign planning, day-to-day content management, creative concepting and execution, identifying social trends, and performance reporting.

This position is based in our New York City Midtown office, which currently operates on a casual remote schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Social media is an ever-changing field, so although you will have some routine responsibilities, adaptability is key in this role. This list should give you a good idea of what your day-to-day obligations will be:

  • Plan and build social media strategies
  • Develop and execute innovative social-first campaigns
  • Lead and facilitate brainstorms for content and campaigns
  • Own and update content calendars
  • Own outreach, communication, and coordination with influencers, creators, and contracted partners including photographers and videographers
  • Support execution of in-house and off-site photoshoots
  • Source relevant user-generated content and stories
  • Write and edit social media copy for posts and creative
  • Coordinate giveaways and other promotions with internal and external contributors
  • Compile reports and recaps sharing valuable insights and learnings from data and community
  • Perform administrative work such as invoicing and budget tracking

Skills & Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of social media channels and how each can be leveraged for various campaigns and goals effectively
  • Finger on the pulse of culture and trends
  • Ability to write and edit communications and articulate the brand 'voice' in a creative, compelling, and witty manner
  • Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side
  • Ability to adapt and adjust planned work by analyzing work demands, competing priorities, and tight deadlines; and to understand the most effective and efficient means to accomplish tasks within the parameters of the organizational structure,
  • processes, systems, and policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a knack for problem solving

Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in social media marketing
  • Experience with social media content creation and campaign planning
