About This Role

As the Omnichannel Excellence (OCE) Media Strategist, you will be a critical part of Biogen’s broader Customer Excellence and Operations organization for Consumer Marketing.

You are the expert media strategist working in partnership with Neuropsychiatry Brand Marketing, Omnichannel Planning and Strategy, Agency of Record, and PHM (Biogen’s media agency partner) driving and evolving the optimal media mix. Through established media relationships you will introduce innovative media options to solve brand challenges in regard to radio, digital, social media, paid search, and television.

What You’ll Do

  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing media strategies that effectively reach and engage consumers across a variety of channels, including television, digital, radio, and social media.
  • Represent OCE media in yearly Neuropsychiatry planning activity to critically assess business needs and determine key efforts for critical pull-through tactics.
  • Act as Media SME in the omnichannel campaign planning process across Brand, Agency, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Design and execute optimization tests in partnership with Insights & Analytics team
  • Collaborate with External Partners: You will need to work closely with external media partners, such as media agencies, publishers, and vendors, secure placements, and ensure that campaigns are delivered according to plan and optimized.
  • Develop Creative Concepts: You will need to work closely with the brand and creative team to develop and refine creative concepts that effectively communicate the company's brand messaging and product benefits to consumers through media placement.
  • Partner with the brand for media roadmap, strategies, and trade-offs to teams
  • Manage media AOR by addressing issues/hurdles
  • Stay up to date and counsel partners on industry trends: You will need to stay abreast of emerging media trends, such as new channels, ad formats, and targeting capabilities, and incorporate them into media strategies where appropriate.
  • Measure and report results: You will need to analyze campaign performance and report on key metrics, such as reach, frequency, and conversion rates. You will need to use data to make informed decisions about media spend and campaign optimization.

Qualifications


This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days a week onsite presence in Weston, Massachusetts

Required Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant DTC and HCP (direct to consumer/health care provider) media experience in marketing strategy, campaign planning, and campaign execution experience
    • Pharma/biotech experience strongly preferred
  • Media buying and/or strong recommendation experience
  • Strong communication, leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the DTC/HCP landscape are essential for success in this role.
  • You will need to have a deep understanding of the DTC landscape, including industry regulations, consumer behavior, and media trends, to develop effective media plans.
  • Proven track record developing and executing omnichannel marketing campaigns to achieve superior results, demonstrating data-driven strategic thinking, experimentation, customer orientation, and operational excellence
  • Experience designing omnichannel customer engagement strategies grounded in an understanding of customer journeys with large budget spend
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to assess business results of marketing tactics, define appropriate metrics / KPIs, and maximize the value of marketing investment

Education

  • BA/BS required
  • MBA or other related graduate degree preferred
