To ignite a passion for the arts which nurtures and inspires the creative leaders of tomorrow through the magic of live performance.

Each year Suwanee Performing Arts auditions dozens of young artists who wish to perform in one or more of SPA’ s performance groups (Suwanee Ballet, Sounds of Suwanee, Community Art Players of Suwanee, The Actor's Company). SPA’s Broadway in the Park performances bring thousands of people to the Suwanee’s Towne Center Park each summer. We are passionate about bringing art to life and into the lives of our community because it makes Suwanee a better place to live, work and play!

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the positive impact of the performing arts on children and the community. Someone who loves meeting people and is a competent fundraiser. Someone with exemplary communication skills. Someone who is reliable and organized has good leadership skills and is self-motivated. You will support our commitment to excellence by being a vibrant visible face for the organization, building valuable relationships in the community. Experience in the performing arts is not mandatory by a plus.

Main Areas of Responsibility will be:

• Conducting annual pledge drives to secure patron sponsors and host annual fundraising events.
• Attending civic and chamber functions to connect with businesses and secure corporate partnerships.
• Finding fun fabulous ways to host board member meetings (about 6 per year) to keep members committed and engaged!
• Managing donor database, ticketing and event coordination for SPA events.
• Seek out grants that support the organization's cause.

Outcomes and How Your Success will be Measured:

• In this role, you will work closely with the Founding Directors to bring their visions to life.
• Work closely with organization department heads helping them secure the volunteer and monetary support they need.
• Setting and achieving fundraising goals based on budget needs.

Location: Suwanee Academy of the Arts, 341 Main Street, Suwanee, GA 30024.

Rate: Base plus commission

Suwanee Performing Arts is an established not for profit organization with several programs and events throughout the year. We’re looking for a long term team member who loves the performing arts and wants to play along. This is a part-time job with the opportunity to become full-time. To be a successful applicant experience in sales, fundraising or event planning is required.
