10 Points is urgently looking to hire excellent and experienced Special Education Teachers for our school sites in Washington County. Start Date: ASAP till 2023-24 school year ($1000 Bonus for Special Ed Teachers for the 2023-24 school year with hike in salaries - condition applied)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following represents some major areas of concern in Special Education. Other areas in the Special Education field will be required to fulfill all the needs of the classroom and student IEPs.
- Caseload: Under 10
- Age grade: Pre-K
- Manage students with developmental disabilities
- Plan curriculum, lessons, and special education programs and teaching methods.
- Maintain contact with parents of students and invite them to participate in educational progress.
- Maintain the physical environment of the classroom for organization and presentation purposes.
- Instruct individuals and groups on Special Ed. skill areas.
- Modify curriculum according to IEP and administer testing evaluations.
Certificates and/or Licenses:
- Valid teaching certificate with one or more special education endorsements OR enrolled in an appropriate special education program.
Education and/or Experience:
- B.A./B.S. degree required, with classroom experience preferred.
- Experience with online tools (Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, zoom, etc.) is a BIG plus.
