Specialist, Revenue & Insights Job at LEARFIELD
The Revenue and Insights Strategist will support teams across LEARFIELD by providing research, data, and insights for various strategic purposes, including client sales presentations, corporate research projects, and various fan engagement initiatives. As part of the role, the Strategist will work closely with Senior Strategist regional points of contact to identify areas of opportunity to assist on projects and requests.
Job Duties:
- Provide insights & analytics for use in client pitches, ultimately increasing multimedia property revenue and supporting sales team endeavors
- Complete research requests using 1st party and syndicated research resources to source and analyze data.
- Exercise discretion in resource and data point selection for use in projects
- Utilize Excel/Tableau to analyze data and create charts as graphical representations of the data
- Prepare customized reports, infographics and presentations for sales teams based on client objectives and review research slides with sales team prior to presentation
- Analyze and interpret survey data into research insights for presentations for sales team, internal departments, and Athletic Departments
- Serve as a resource on sports sponsorship industry trends
- Study market and industry trends and disseminate information to appropriate sales and marketing teams
- Analyze data to identify internal and external industry trends, to better support future revenue-driving initiatives
- Utilize third party prospecting resources to provide supplemental research to the sales field
- Lead training efforts associated with CRM reporting dashboards, prospecting, research and measurement capabilities
- Communicate regularly with business leaders to monitor the effectiveness of salesforce practices and provide insight into open areas of opportunity
- Deal with day to day queries from sales and management teams regarding CRM and sales data needs
Skills:
A thorough understanding and knowledge of resources providing quality research & insights. Knowledge of sports sponsorship inventory and activation. Creative "know how" of telling a research and analytics story to increase property revenue. Ability to think critically about data/research and how it relates to the sponsorship sales process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in sports or business-related field or minimum of 2 years' experience in a research/insights and/or data analysis role
- High competency level on computer and software skills compatible with job responsibilities, including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Microsoft CRM and Tableau is a plus
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Great time management skills
- Detail oriented individual with a high level of organization
- Analytical mindset and strong critical thinking capabilities
- Strong work ethic, with ability to manage numerous projects and deadlines
- Professional conduct within and outside office while conducting agency business
