Disney’s Enterprise Technology team is seeking a Sr Manager, Business Performance that will report into the SVP and will be a critical strategic, operational, change, and transformation leader. Leaders at the Walt Disney Company envision the impossible, harness the creative power of the Company, and lead with a global mindset.


This candidate will be an intellectually curious and proactive problem-solver, who can handle multiple priorities simultaneously and is comfortable with ambiguity. The role requires high diligence, top-flight financial, strategic, and operational analysis, strong presentation skills, and executive presence.


The Sr Manager, Business Performance will oversee a team of data analysts, business analysts, and portfolio managers and will be responsible for:


Strategic Planning

  • Support the SVP in setting the strategy and building roadmaps

  • Partner with the senior leaders to drive the strategy, priorities, and key initiatives

  • Own and drive key initiatives, special projects, ad hoc requests

  • Act as proxy and representative of the SVP as needed

  • Support with hiring, team building and culture-building activities

  • Provide a voice at the leadership table, while also being a resource to help support the broader strategic and operational needs of the team

  • Support communication plans around strategy with senior leaders and partner teams


Business Operations & Measuremen
t

  • Drive and manage 5 year plan as well as annual AOP planning and institutionalize ongoing measurement methods to ensure we stay on track

  • Standardize and evolve common operating mechanisms, processes, and practices across the organization

  • Develop and implement a data driven operational framework with effective and efficient operating mechanisms and governance

  • Set and drive Continuous Improvement goals for the organization

  • Lead organizational change management

  • Own and oversee Financial Management of departmental and portfolio budgets and help develop and implement strategies to optimize cost


Portfolio Management

  • Manage overall project portfolio

  • Ensure compliance to TPP/PPM standards

  • Drive initiatives to improvement maturity

  • Develop and evolve governance framework to ensure we deliver against our commitments

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and go to green plans as needed

  • Implement a vendor governance framework


Experience

  • 15+ years in Technology Leadership

  • Experience in a Fortune 500 company managing a complex and diverse portfolio of large, integrated technology strategies

  • Experience defining strategies and operational initiatives in a fast-paced environment; ability to work within tight timelines

  • Effective thought leadership skills and business acumen

  • Ability to effectively lead, partner with and successfully influence executives and other stakeholders at all levels across a matrixed organization

  • Skilled in distilling insights from data and synthesizing and crafting compelling presentations for executive audiences

  • Able to maintain both a rigorous attention to detail and a big-picture, strategic mindset

  • Capital and Operating Expense budgeting and forecasting experience

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, solve problems, and implement solutions

  • Embraces teamwork; shares ideas / methods to improve performance

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to technical and non-technical audiences; ability to synthesize complex ideas into crisp concepts and action plans.
