Piper Companies is looking for a Senior Network Architect to support one of the largest independent fiber infrastructure bandwidth companies in the Eastern U.S. This opportunity will be REMOTE, the candidate must sit in the US.

Responsibilities for the Senior Network Architect:

• Aid in creating network integration solutions, defining strategic network architecture, resilient operation, and service delivery
• Will be required to design and test network equipment and software (CPE to Core)
• Responsible for preparation of specific, standard documentation for all designs and testing that have been approved; documentation will be stored and distributed to the assigned company stakeholders
• Aid in monitoring the network tasks to survey current utilization trends and/or prevent potential issues that could affect the resilient operation of networks
• Create project packets that consist of design and costs to submit for approval
• After approval is received, partner with Project Management and/or Network Operations whose insight will be vital to the completion of the design
• Communicate with stakeholder organizations within the Company to provide network consulting

Qualifications for the Senior Network Architect:

• 5 years' experience in packet network design, carrier-based, or operations along with 15 years in network design/architecture
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering/Computer Science or other Network technologies
• Carrier experience
• Must be experienced with telecom, test center, and circuit design
• Hold Linux based experienced

Compensation/Benefits for the Senior Network Architect:

• Compensation: 130k-150k/yr.
