You will succeed in this position if you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This position will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. This is a position you will thrive in, if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Your responsibilities

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
• Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
• Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
• Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
• Take part in various department-wide initiatives
• Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
• Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
• Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
• Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
• Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of bank reconciliations
• Month-end Close Activities experience highly desired
• Proven knowledge of Month-end Journal Entries
• Foundational knowledge in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Command of Monthly Bank Reconciliation
• Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
• ERP system experience
• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• 1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
• Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
• Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
