STRUCTURAL PROJECT ENGINEER JOB SUMMARY
In this position, the Structural Project Engineer is responsible for the designing and detailing of structural components for building/structure permit submittals. The Structural Project Engineer completes tasks under the direction and supervision of a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer.


STRUCTURAL PROJECT ENGINEER JOB DUTIES

  • Develops design plans for a variety of engineering projects.
  • Performs calculations for components of structures.
  • Creates construction plans and details for structures conforming with Cannon standards.
  • Listens and communicates effectively with staff to maintain a team atmosphere.
  • Works under budgets and timetables assigned by the Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager.
  • Participates in professional and community activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering.
  • EIT required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in structural analysis, design, and detailing of structures.
  • Proficient knowledge of the California Building Code and ASCE 7.
  • Knowledge and experience in concrete, steel, and masonry structural systems.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in finite element design software.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
