Position Focus:
The role of the Student Affairs Fellow (SAF) is to develop and implement primary prevention, bystander intervention, and risk reduction strategies for sexual misconduct and the use of alcohol and other drugs by students. The SAF will report to the assistant dean of student affairs, and will work closely with first-year counselors, the Heads of residential colleges, college deans, SHARE, Yale Health, student organizations, and athletic teams. The SAF will assist in hiring, training, and supervising the Communication and Consent Educators, a group of students focused on sexual misconduct prevention and education. The SAF will help develop policies and programs to reduce the risks associated with the use of drugs and alcohol. This is a fulltime, 12 month position that includes late evenings and weekends in addition to weekdays. There are two-three SAFs in the Dean's Office who work jointly on these projects.

Essential Duties

May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's Degree required. 2. Must have experience with undergraduates.

Knowledge of undergraduate residential life and the ability to relate to Yale College students.

Group facilitation and leadership skills, willingness to engage in frank discussion of difficult topics, and comfort discussing sexuality and sexual violence.
