Job Summary
Responsible for the day-to-day Inflight Administration functions of Inflight Operations as they relate to Attendance and Reliability for the 3400+ Spirit Flight Attendants. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the highest level of safety, efficiency, and overall success of the Company This will be accomplished one journey at a time while taking care of each other and our guests.
- Responsible for tracking attendance, issuing discipline, conducting investigatory meetings, and issuing resolution letters in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.
- Ensure the welfare of each other and our guests is an ongoing safety practice.
- Anticipate the needs of each other and our guests by exceeding expectations in attentiveness.
- Provide a professional, friendly and seamless experience.
- Show respect for each other’s and our guest’ time.
- Serves as the direct liaison and point of contact between Flight Attendants, HRLOA, Crew Scheduling, Crew Plan, Crew Pay and leadership teams.
- Collaborates with various departments to investigate attendance and reliability infractions and Flight Attendant inquires.
- Ensure compliance with the Spirit Attendance and Reliability Policy for Flight Attendants as well as all requirements for leave of absence as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Conduct investigatory meetings as appropriate to include progressive counseling where appropriate.
- Create and maintain a working environment that promotes the professional growth, leadership, accountability, and motivation of the Spirit Flight Attendant group.
- Manage and provide direction and support to the Flight Attendants regarding FMLA, Medical leaves, Workers Compensation, Pay issues, Company policies and Procedures, and various union related issues in coordination with Human Resources and the various Base Leaders.
- Conduct file audits and reviews to ensure consistency of discipline.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Inflight Base Operations
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g. emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
- High School Diploma required/ Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two (2) years Inflight or Flight Attendant experience preferred.
- One (1) year prior management experience required.
- Ability to motivate, mentor, lead, and coach.
- Experience with union collective bargaining agreement administration.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Must pass background check and pre-employment testing.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to build relationships, engagement and commitment through skilled team-building. Skilled Leader who is an effective coach, capable of building a positive work environment with accountability for results and management of performance while using good judgment.
- Expert communicator possessing superior conflict resolution, problem-solving, and influencing skills. Possesses an unrelenting attention to detail and perseverance to achieve superior outcomes through disciplined, consistent team execution. Ethics and integrity beyond reproach.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft products such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as thorough knowledge of Citrix. Ability to utilize all available technology to create, edit and maintain all necessary information.
- An intermediate understanding of all contractual obligations.
