POSITION: Supply Chain Business Intelligence Analyst, Brunswick Boat Group
DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain/Procurement
REPORTS TO: Senior Director Global Supply Chain, Boat Group
Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Business Intelligence Analyst will be the primary Informational Technology (IT) leader for the Brunswick Boat Group (BBG) Global Supply Chain Group. Reporting to the Senior Director of the Global Supply Chain, this position has responsibility for managing supply chain metrics across a $1B global spend encompassing all aspects of business, category, and supply base management.
In this position you will provide advanced ad-hoc analysis for some of the most iconic boat brands in the industry across 12 manufacturing locations. In addition, partnering with groups in Finance, Operations, and General Management as well as the senior leadership team at Brunswick. Being the primary analyst for the group, this person is expected to be able to analyze trends in metrics and highlight changes which have an impact to the BBG Global Supply Chain and BBG’s overall business.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and communicate weekly, monthly, quarterly supply chain metrics including on time delivery, spend and standards, and other relevant metrics
- Provide support to suppliers using BBG’s supplier portal
- Design new reports and ad hoc reports as needed for supply chain, finance, and operations
- The ability to manage complex businesses as well as effectively work in a matrix organization is essential.
- Be able to explain complex technical concepts and data insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences.
- Be highly motivated and have deep experience in managing analytics for a manufacturing corporation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize business questions and hypotheses
- Develop data models and perform data analysis to support business decisions
- Design and implement data dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and drive revenue growth through data analysis
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results within tight timelines
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or supply chain.
- The candidate should have a minimum of three years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field. Experience in the boat manufacturing industry or other manufacturing industries is a plus
- IT Experience within a manufacturing business with previous IT role in operations, supply chain, procurement, or engineering to include working across business groups within multi-national organizations
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, Business Objects, Alteryx; ability to learn new software suites quickly
- High-level understanding of data modeling and visualizing data sets
- SQL programming knowledge preferred
- Ability to project and maintain a professional and positive attitude
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong project management skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Travel and Work Requirements
- Hybrid arrangement (2-3 days a week on site) available with on-site presence at the BBG Mettawa, IL facility for a portion of the work week required
- Travel 5-10% of time domestically.
