Position Description
CGI is looking for a Supply Management Analyst III in Barstow, CA. The Supply Management Analyst III plays an important role in improving the efficiency of government and military procurement of supplies. The Analyst will be responsible for researching and evaluating supply needs, investigating alternative sources to identify opportunities for cost and time savings, developing and implementing purchasing strategies, and maintaining up-to-date records of contracts and inventory.

Position Description
CGI is looking for a Supply Management Analyst III in Barstow, CA. The Supply Management Analyst III plays an important role in improving the efficiency of government and military procurement of supplies. The Analyst will be responsible for researching and evaluating supply needs, investigating alternative sources to identify opportunities for cost and time savings, developing and implementing purchasing strategies, and maintaining up-to-date records of contracts and inventory.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Perform contract-related supply duties following contract requirements and applying USMC supply directives, policies, and operations, as cited and applicable
- Advise and support the SC7 Program Manager and chain of command to achieve Program objectives
- Effectively use and/or oversee use of Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) to conduct required supply transactions/operations
- Effectively use USMC/DoD logistics and supply tools/databases, as applicable
- Identify, use, and manage data needed for supply operations is in accordance with directives and to maximize the effectiveness of supply operations
- Perform daily analysis, causative research, and supervisory-like oversight to maximize supply operations effectiveness supporting, but not limited to, remediation of supply system-to-property record inaccuracies, supply transaction processes, supply operations (i.e., administration and warehousing, operations possibly) as applicable, and automated information technology employment, and data management
- Apply proper use of Defense Logistics Management Standards (DLMS), as applicable
- Integrate effective warehousing operations within overall supply operations, to include maximizing the value of automated information technologies such as but not limited to RFID and bar codes, overall operational data management analysis and recommendations, as applicable, and process and overall continuous business/operational process improvements
- Directly perform and/or provide oversight and corrective action support of functions such as but not limited to: ensuring total asset visibility of all inventory/ equipment on-hand, due in, issued, returned, in repair, in disposal, recalled, and in calibration and maintenance, including the specific condition code, manufacturers' lot number, task order number, serial number, TAMCN, NSN, and shelf-life expiration date; reconciling and appropriately adjudicating order/receiving discrepancies (e.g., aged orders/shipments, inventory receipted for with discrepant on-hand/disposition data), and that all data entered in the Government system is current, accurate, and complete at time of entry
- Resolve supply operations and transaction discrepancies such as "book-to-floor" reconciliations, perform causative research (e.g., receipt discrepancies), and take action to remediate the instant problem and any systemic issues, to include conducting training
- Use RFID, bar code, and other automated information technology and generated/related data to achieve SC7 Program and supply chain management objectives
- Assist the SC7 Program Manager to maximize effectiveness, efficiency, or achieve optimization, as required
- Apply data management concepts and operations with the intent of identifying how to use data to maximize operational effectiveness first, and efficiency second, and optimization, as required
- Collaborate with and support as necessary other departments / functions such as but not limited to maintenance, finance, and distribution operations to ensure maximum program effectiveness
- Prepare reports as required
- Provide on-the-job training (OJT) and formal and informal training, and mentoring of other Supply Management Analysts to maximize operational effectiveness
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- USMC Supply System administration or operations experience and knowledge (e.g., Table of Authorized Material Control Numbers (TAMCNs)) and Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) experience required
- Knowledge of and experience with USMC/DoD logistics and supply tools/databases
- Familiarity with USMC supply directives, policies, and operations
- Ensure data needed for supply operations is identified, used, and managed in accordance with directives and to maximize supply operations effectiveness
- Experience with daily analysis, causative research, and supervisory-like oversight and remediation of supply system-to-property record accuracy and reconciliation, supply transactions, supply operations (i.e., administration and warehousing, operations possibly) as applicable, and data to achieve maximum supply operations effectiveness
- Defense Logistics Management Standards (DLMS) knowledge
- Warehousing operations knowledge strongly preferred in addition to supply administration or operations knowledge

- Understanding how RFID, bar codes, and other automated information technology and generated/related data is being used for supply chain management operations and in particular USMC supply operations
- Familiarity with data management concepts and operations with the intent of identifying how to use data to maximize operational effectiveness first, and efficiency second
- Collaboration skills to support other departments/functions such as but not limited to maintenance, finance, and distribution operations, and SC7 Program Management, to ensure maximum program effectiveness
- Prepare reports as required
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
- Ability to manage and lead a team to accomplish multiple tasks in parallel.
- Proficiency in standard office automation software.
- Understanding and knowledge of USMC Logistics operations and policies.
- Experience in understanding complex policies and translating into business processes and procedures.
- Experience in communicating status to management and ranking personnel.
