Summary

Hutch Kids Early Learning Center provides education and care for infants, toddlers, and preschool aged children. We are seeking candidates for the position of Lead Preschool Teacher.

At Hutch Kids we cultivate inclusive environments and meaningful relationships with children and families through the intentional integration of child-led play, research-based developmentally appropriate practices, and anti-bias/anti-racist curriculum. We aspire to help all children develop an appreciation of difference, a love of learning, a sense of creative agency, and a passion for social justice.

As a whole and within each classroom, we consider ourselves a community of learners. Teachers work as a team with a co-lead teacher and an assistant teacher to foster a nurturing environment suited for the individual developmental needs of each child. Low classroom ratios allow for the development of secure, lasting relationships between children, teachers, and families.

Duties

The support teacher is a key role at Hutch Kids. Support teachers step into the classroom when lead or assistant teachers are ill, on vacation, and to cover planning time, meetings, etc. Support teachers work with all ages and maintain warm, professional relationships with their children, families, and colleagues.

Hutch Kids educators have access to scholarships and grants that cover their entire tuition for Early Childhood Education programs at the Seattle Colleges.



Benefits

This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, 9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Salary range for this position is $19-$22/hour. Generous benefits package includes: medical/vision/dental (employer covers 100%), matching 401-k after one year of employment (employee may begin contributing after 30-days), long term disability, life insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), paid holidays (13/year) and access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
