POSITION SUMMARY:
The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Payroll Department. The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for reviewing payroll documents, prepares documents batches for payroll processing; responds to employee inquiries; prepares and maintains payroll records and reports. Routinely reviews Kronos work rules for proper activation and termination dates based on approved policies and audits completed payroll runs for accuracy with pay practices established. The Payroll supervisor is responsible for coordinating staff schedules, training and employee development. Educates Directors on Kronos usage. Responsible for meeting KPI goals. Responsible for successful performance on audits. Assists with internal & external audit requests as necessary. Possible travel twice a year to Laredo and once a year to Fort Duncan. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Two to three years experience in supervisory position
2. Familiar with Kronos time and attendance system and Lawson payroll system.
3. Proficient in Excel.
4. Demonstrates good phone etiquette.
5. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer
EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting, Finance preferred or other related field; or Ten years experience within payroll environment required.
