Chester County Eye Care, a Division of Vantage EyeCare, has been a leader in eye care throughout Chester County and the surrounding area for over 45 years. With offices in West Chester, Exton, and West Grove, we provide an extensive range of eye care services for cataracts, glaucoma, retina disorders, LASIK, diabetic eye care, and more. Our doctors, along with our clinical team, are dedicated to optimizing our patient’s vision and ensuring they can see their best. We are looking for a great candidate to join our team as a Surgical Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all testing and scans needed for surgery patients
• Counsel patients about their surgery and schedule their surgery dates
• Prepare charts with all paperwork needed for our surgeons
• Communicate regularly with surgeons and various surgery centers
• Confirm outpatient surgical centers accept patient’s insurance
• Work with our billing department to inform patients of out-of-pocket costs
• Electronically prescribe eye drops needed before patient’s surgery
• Answer phone calls from patients with surgery questions and concerns
• Enter patient information into EMR system

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• Work one night per week required
• Minimum 2 years of experience with surgical scheduling
• Knowledge of insurance plans and medical terminology preferred
• Attention to detail
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to meet deadlines on time
• Will need to have the flexibility to travel and work at any of our three offices as needed. You must have own reliable transportation and live within close driving distance of our offices.
