We are looking to fill various full and part-time positions at our Odana SVdP Thrift Store, located at 6301 Odana Rd, Madison, WI 53719.

Starting pay is $15.75 with a pay increase at 6 months to $16.25.

Hours will vary according to business needs. Shifts will be contained within the following hours: Monday-Saturday 8am - 7:30pm and Sunday 9am-5:30 pm. You must be able to work weekends and most Sundays until 5:30pm.

JOB SUMMARY:This employee will be a key member of the Thrift Store team, focused on service to the customers, donors and clients; cashiering, restocking merchandise and receiving/processing donations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Cashiering duties: operate cash register and process transactions accurately, assist customers with purchases and vouchers, educate customers on VIP and monthly ROUND-Up program.

· Provide customer and donor assistance throughout the store: answer questions, anticipate customers' needs, offer help and encourage sales.

· Restock merchandise on sales floor and price items as needed, pull and sort product in accordance with company guidelines and safety protocols.

· Asist on donation dock receiving and processing donations based on the SVdP Take/Do Not Take guidelines, loading items onto a semi-trailer or stock room as appropriate.

· Help maintain cleanliness of store, perform cleaning duties on a rotating assignment list.

Daily assignments will rotate based on staffing and operational needs. An Individual in this position must be able to successfully perform essential duties and responsibilities listed above. · Employee must have the ability to maintain professional, patient and courteous interactions with a diverse base of customers, donors, clients and other SVdP staff.

· Employee must frequently stand, walk, talk, and hear, use hands to handle or touch product, tools or controls.

· Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs without assistance, and occasionally lift/move up to 50lbs with assistance from equipment or other employees.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

· Employee must be able to follow instructions and work autonomously on assigned job duties.

· Employee must be able to work assigned shifts consistently and reliably.

WORKING ENVIROMENT:

The Thrift store working environment may contain dust, debris or allergens commonly associated with all manner of pre-owned clothing, furniture and household goods. Certain areas of the store donation dock are only partially climate controlled.

· 100 PAID time off hours for 1st year of employment. 140 PAID time off hours for 2nd year of employment. Additional 8 hours per year after 4th year until maxed at the 13th year of employment with 220 hours per year eligibility. PTO hours are accrued biweekly, and employees are eligible to use after 90 days of employment.

· 48 Hours of SICK time per year. SICK hours are accrued biweekly.

· SEP/IRA after 2 years of employment. 100% funded by SVDP.
