• Analyze and repair microcomputer hardware, peripherals, network hardware and infrastructure, power backup/conditioning/protection (UPS) equipment and data center monitoring equipment;
• Install network and computer hardware including microcomputer hardware, peripherals, servers, switches, routers, UPS, SFPs, etc.;
• Analyze, isolate and repair local hosts, LANs and WANs using current test equipment and software;
• Install and maintain software including operating systems, databases, network servers and network applications;
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and install enterprise software such as MSSQL, Active Directory, email, data backup, antivirus, anti-spyware, networks and accounts, Solar Winds, Lync and Share Point;
• Provide training and support as needed in the use of networks, network applications, enterprise applications and computer systems;
• Develop and maintain systems documentation for installed networks and systems using Visio.

Completion of a bachelor degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field with an additional three to five years of direct experience within the area of listed essential functions or any combination of relevant experience which provides the following:

Training or certifications may be substituted for experience if applicable to listed essential functions.

• Hardware, software, operating systems and networking protocols;
• Microsoft Windows operating systems, Linux, Active Directory and TCP/IP;
• Peripheral and end-user devises including printers, print servers, mass storage devices and smart phones;
• General network wiring specifications;
• General network fiber specifications, SFP+s and SFPs;
• Productivity and utility software including Microsoft Office, web browsers, email clients, antivirus clients, network scanning tools, network performance tools, network sniffers.

• Communicate effectively using a variety of methods and devices;
• Work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment;
• Plan and organize workload, and accomplish tasks with minimum supervision;
• Analyze logs, network traces and firewall rules and troubleshoot issues;
• Learn new things quickly and relate those to both trained and non-computer professionals.
