Position Summary: The Technical Project Engineer coordinates and agrees technical details and approves the technical implementation of the product in close contact with the customer internal/external. Where feasible, you will coordinate tasks with the customer and is able to delegate tasks to project members.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development of a project according to the requirements of the ZF modular system and the customer requirements according to the ZF GDPEP.
• Responsible for implementing the project in the customer schedule according to the requirements, considering quality and costs
• Coordination of a development team consisting of different development areas
• Mechanic, E/E Hardware, Software, Safety, Function, Simulation and Validation
• Support continuous improvement programs within team
• Developing the product according to system engineering process and customer requirements.
• Planning and tracking of system release activities.
• Monitoring and reporting of the progress of the project.
• Coordinating the engineering tasks of all involved engineering related divisions (e.g. mechanics, testing, software,) and responsibility for the fulfillment of the engineering quality gates.
• Coordinating the system requirements management.
• Coordinating and participating in the engineering related customer project communication.
• Escalation and conflict management.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Engineering (Electronics, Mech. Engineering, Information Science or comparable)
• 3+ years of previous related Engineering experience
• Understanding of mechatronic systems, viewing features, and automated driving technology
• High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
• Strong interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals required
• English language proficiency
