SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Associate Telecommunications coordinates the functions related to the telecommunications department to provide optimal effective service to the internal and external customers of St. Elizabeth Health Center and its affiliated entities. Performs functions related to telecommunications system, including monitoring and analysis of department statistics, recording and maintain department documentation, answering telecommunications console processing calls in a timely manner, monitoring hospital alarm systems, and paging. Coordinates scheduling of telecom attendants and performs necessary computer and paper work for the department. Uses technical ability to coordinate, maintain and operate all communications equipment following established protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

• High School diploma or equivalent, with the ability to speak clearly.

EXPERIENCE:

• 1-2 year’s answering service, call center, or PBX experience including answering phones and paging required; hospital environment preferred.
• Minimum 2 years computer, clerical and scheduling experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
