Embark Behavioral Health is looking for a therapist, social worker or licensed professional counselor with licensure in California who is committed to our mission of reducing adolescent anxiety, depression and suicide with our Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program. As an Embark Virtual IOP Therapist, you will be supported by an experienced Clinical Director, Enrollment Director, and Administrative Team, who are all focused on the mission to facilitate lasting positive change for young people and their families at the IOP level of care. Our Behavioral Health Therapists provide individual, group and family therapy with manageable caseloads.

Embark operates facilities across the US that support adolescents, young adults and their families’ mental health and well-being by offering a full continuum of care from Long Term Residential and Wilderness Therapy environments to our in-person IOP/PHP clinics to virtual IOP and outpatient care. Our Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program is a critical part of our strategy to increase access to life-saving mental health treatments for families with insurance.

• Minimum master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences.
• Clinical Licensure in California. Additional states preferred. Must be willing to pursue licensure in other states to support expansion efforts of the Virtual IOP program.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT),Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent.
• A desire to facilitate client growth through a team approach, working with other care providers.
• A desire to perform and develop counseling/therapeutic expertise in individual, family, and group therapy.
• Preferred - Two years of working experience as a licensed therapist within an IOP program leading individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Preferred - One year of experience using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
• Preferred – Remote experience relevant to the role described.
• Experience practicing DBT, TF-CBT and SMART Recovery a plus!
• Ability to plan, implement, and adjust a course of treatment as required.
• Ability to pass a state background check.
• Must be extremely technology savvy and have back-up Internet available.
