Airport Terminal Security Duty Manager

to join our team as soon as possible. The Airport Terminal Security Duty Manager will provide a vital role in ensuring the safe, secure and efficient operation of Newark Liberty International Airport’s (EWR) newest facility, Terminal A which opened for passengers in 2023. The position will act as EWR Terminal A operator’s day to day liaison with internal and external stakeholders (the travelling public, customers and employees of airport retail concessions as well as airport and airline employees and public sector and governmental authorities conducting business at the terminal). The Terminal Security Duty Manager’s primary role will entail but not be limited to such Duties and Responsibilities as outlined:

Your Future Responsibilities

• Position in 24/7. Must be willing and able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
• Monitors the Security Services Provider (SSP) for contract compliance
• Audits Security Services Provider (SSP) training programs and post orders to ensure they are up to date with Port Authority Rules and Regulations
• Conducts regulated inspections of the tenants to ensure compliance with Port Authority rules and regulations
• Conducts patrols and inspections of the terminal to ensure compliance with Port Authority rules and regulations
• Completes all required reports and audits in a timely manner
• Conducts incident investigations and documents them in after actions reports
• Other duties as assigned by the MANJ security management team

Your Education & Training

• Associates degree in a related field, or 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Prior experience in a civil aviation setting (airport, airline, airport security service provider) or public or private security, military, or law enforcement experience

Your Skills & Experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills to effectively manage tasks and interact with internal and external teams
• Knowledge and ability to apply Airport and Aviation Security rules and regulations
• Ability to meet commitments, work independently, accept accountability, and stay focused under pressure
• Experience utilizing access control systems and CCTV video management systems
