About the role
The Territory Manager role, Food Service Brands, is responsible for delivery of volume and revenue objectives within end-user accounts in the assigned territory. Reporting to the Northeast Region Sales Manager, this person will identify and secure new business while maintaining and growing existing business to increase sales and profitability.
Key responsibilities
- Calling on and managing all foodservice operators located in assigned geography with location totals under 15, exception on unit total where TM has key relationships. This includes On-Site accounts, region chains, large leverage operators and independent operators, foodservice, and specialty coffee accounts…agnostic to distribution
- Network and engage with distributor sales personnel including SR’s, DM’s, AE’s and program sales
- Execute local distributor events, district meetings and customer engagement opportunities
- Coordinate the placement and installation of equipment and ensure the account’s ongoing throughput requirements are attained.
- Coordinate and execute needed marketing for customers, helping to obtain addition menu opportunities and to drive increased revenue.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years Food Service or equivalent experience.
- Results orientation to top line volume and profit growth combined with the ability to execute best in class strategic and tactical field activity in the assigned territory.
- Strong presentation skills, creative thinking, and a desire to win.
- Experience within a Customer Relationship Management system.
- Clear and effective written communication as well as presentation skills in either individual or group settings.
- Solid foundational understanding of Food Service.
- Given the nature of this role, the location must be Washington, Northern Virginia, or Maryland.
- Availability to Travel: in-person visits within customers & the industry. Expected >60% travel required.
