Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our growing team of qualified, diverse individuals at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia. The selected candidate will be able to invest years of experience into a future of excellence as a Test Engineer, providing engineering support for Military Avionics programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
  • Analyzes avionics systems to resolve problems and output requirements
  • Analyses test data and system parameters to ensure operational performance of complex systems
  • Prepares technical data packages
  • Simulates and tests hardware/software test programs
  • Researches and collaborates with the team and with leadership avionic testing and analysis
  • Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements

**This position can be filled at multiple levels.

Basic Qualifications for Test Engineer level:

  • Must have a High School diploma/GED and 6+ years of relevant experience. Will consider an Associates Degree in Engineering (or related field) with 4+ years relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) with 2+ years of relevant experience, a Master's degree in Engineering (or related field) with 1+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in testing, systems engineering, mechanical design, or other applicable experience
  • Demonstrated technical writing and/or procedure development skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical computer aided design (CAD) software skills
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical hardware, software, and interface specifications create for equipment used to support laboratory, production test, and operational environments.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance (or higher)
  • Must be able to work on-site at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia

Will consider an Associates degree in Engineering (or related field) with 7+ years of relevant experience; Will also consider a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) with 5+ years of relevant experience, a Master's degree in Engineering (or related field) with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in testing, systems engineering, mechanical design, or other applicable experience
  • Demonstrated technical writing and/or procedure development skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical computer aided design (CAD) software skills
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical hardware, software, and interface specifications create for equipment used to support laboratory, production test, and operational environments.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance (or higher)
  • Must be able to work on-site at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Design and development
  • Test set coding and software design
  • Strong background in, general avionics
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Background in DMSS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources of Supply) issue resolution and component evaluations to a specific set of requirements to resolve obsolesce.

Salary Range: $66,600 USD - $99,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $82,000 USD - $123,000 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
