Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Chairman/CEO, this is a key function supporting initial, refresher and remedial training requirements, conducting Quality Control monitoring through field inspections, and conducting investigations for site-level incidents. The successful candidate will be required to operate during standard office hours, with the availability to perform after hour duties in support of the program mission as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate should meet the minimum basic requirements as follows:

· Candidate shall have prior security supervisor and/or training instructor experience in the security industry, preferably on federal level security program; but not mandatory.

· Ability to conduct comprehensive investigation of field incidents and report findings

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Lesson Plan sample may be required)

· Ability to function independently with minimal supervision, utilizing corporate support

· Ability to work a flexible schedule to include afterhours as requested or required.

· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook and other required computing software

CREDENTIALS REQUIRED

The ideal candidate is required to possess a combination of instructor-related credentials as outlined below:

· First Aid / CPR / AED (American Red Cross preferred or American Heart Association)

· OC Spray Instructor Certifications (or ability and willingness to obtain)

· Expandable Baton Instructor Certifications (or ability and willingness to obtain)

· Defensive Tactics Instructor Certifications (or ability and willingness to obtain)

· Handcuffing Instructor Certifications (or ability and willingness to obtain)

· Virginia DCJS General Instructor Certifications (or ability and willingness to obtain)

· Virginia DCJS Firearms Instructor Certifications (or ability and willingness to obtain)

· Maryland Handgun Instructor Certifications (or ability and willingness to obtain)

· District of Columbia Firearms and SPO Instructor Certifications (or ability and willingness to obtain)

· NRA LE Firearms Instructor Certifications (or ability and willingness to obtain)

· NRA Civilian Handgun Instructor Certifications (or ability and willingness to obtain)

· Licensed as Armed Security Officer in MD, DC and/or VA

· Licensed as a Private Investigator thru VA DCJS

Note: Applicable credentials must be current or renewable if expired.

Note: Candidate must be willing to acquire multiple credentials.

principal duties and functions:

The Training Instructor duties may include, but are not limited to:

Training Functions

· Training of employee credentials and training requirements

· Conduct classroom / field training requirements as deemed necessary

· Maintain accurate records of training administered to uniformed personnel

· Processing of credentials generated based on training classes

· Maintain superior working knowledge of industry-related contract security practices

Quality Control Functions

· Conducts Quality Control inspections of all security programs within the NCR.

· Enforces company standards to field personnel as outlined in policies and procedures

· Performs On-the-Spot counselling and remedial training for identified deficiencies

· Completes electronic QC Inspection Reports and provides feedback to management

· Monitors performance improvements and conducts follow-up inspections

Investigation Functions

· Conducts investigations on incidents at field locations as reported to corporate management

· Reports to site locations to gather information from all relevant parties

· Generates comprehensive investigations report outlining facts of incident

· Submits report to applicable member of corporate management team with recommendations

Note: All other administrative / operations duties as deemed necessary by corporate management

Note: The accomplishment of the multiple functions will be balanced based on priority, with both Training and Investigations taking precedence over Quality Control functions

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
