HR Learning & Organizational Effectiveness
The HR Learning & Organizational Effectiveness collaborates with the UCF community to improve organizational effectiveness and provide access to learning and professional development.
The Opportunity:
The Training Specialist II is responsible for employee training including planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (including online). Interacts and consults with internal clients and stakeholders across all organizational levels. Develops communication and marketing tools for programs supported by the unit (HR Learning and Organizational Effectiveness).
Responsibilities:
- Training Design and Delivery: Manages training function to ensure employees receive on-boarding and employee development, including team development, leadership development, change management, and process improvement techniques.
- Facilitates and delivers just-in-time learning solutions incorporating adult learning theory and retention models. Serves as mentor, trainer, coach, and partner in building, executing, and measuring training effectiveness.
- Training Materials, Marketing, and Promotion: Develops learning and organizational effectiveness communication and marketing tools, e.g., newsletters, emails, website information.
- Coordinates training program, logistics and documentation to include training materials and developing procedures and processes.
- Assists with designing and implementing training solutions, including scheduling, roster management, content production, and facilities coordination.
- Training Needs Assessment: Identifies and assesses training and development needs and trends.
- Consults with senior leaders to assess training needs and gaps for supervisors and leaders.
- Evaluates and maintain the quality and effectiveness of existing programs, adjusting as necessary.
- Researches and stays abreast of university needs and industry trends.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with developing, producing, and communicating, in written and verbal form, policies, training materials and presentations to various audiences.
- Experience developing evaluation metrics to assist in reviewing the effectiveness of educational program activities, recommending improvements, and assisting in executing recommendations.
- Experience with learning management systems (preferably Workday) and e-learning authoring tools (preferably Articulate).
- Experience facilitating sessions in-person, virtually (live), and in Webcourses or other e-learning teaching experience.
- Experience using Articulate Rise, Camtasia, or other training software for asynchronous learning.
- Possesses leadership assessment certifications (EI, MBTI, DiSC, Strengths, True Colors, TKI, etc.) Expertise in MS Office.
