COMPENSATION:
The current minimum salary is $ 25.213268 per hour for a 40-hour week. This rate is
subject to change as per the Transportation Communication Union (TCU) Collective
Bargaining Agreement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position handles crew calling to arrange coverage for all vacancies (Conductors,
Engineers, Station Cleaners) to meet daily and emergency train service requirements, by
applying the rules of the bargaining unit. In addition, the Crew Caller will provide daily
coverage/ vacation relief for Station Agents, other contractually allotted lost time
coverage, and any instance when track outages require additional customer service
support. This position is responsible for maintaining proper assignments, calling
personnel for duty, posting related records, and coordinating track access requirements
with internal and external customers.
The position is also responsible for preparing and maintaining operations'
correspondence, records, and files; compiling and tabulating statistics and data; preparing
and inputting the Unified Timekeeping System Functions and preparing requisitions for
purchase orders.
This position requires the candidate to work weekends, and holidays and be on
call for PM and Midnight tours to cover train crew jobs as needed. Must
have a valid NYS Driver’s License.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A High School Diploma/GED along with a minimum of three years of progressively
responsible experience is required.

SELECTION METHOD
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
