Position Summary:
The Tufting Over hauler/PM Fixer is responsible for the execution of the Tufting Preventive Maintenance schedule and performing Overhaul and PM work at the RCA facility as well as the machines at the LaGrange Kyle II, and GSTC facilities.

Educational requirements:
HS Diploma/GED
Completion of technical classes preferred

Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience in mechanical machine troubleshooting and repair
Two years' textile experience preferred
Welding Fabrication experience preferred
Strong technical knowledge of Textile machines a plus
Use of precision measurement equipment such as but not limited to: Dial Indicators, Calipers, and micrometers.
Understand fundamentals of gearboxes, pumps, compressors, and other common drive systems
Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, decimals)
Understanding of the metric system
Must meet license requirements for powered industrial material handling equipment (lift truck, scissor lift, JLG)
Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience in mechanical machine troubleshooting and repair
Two years' textile experience preferred
Welding Fabrication experience preferred

Essential duties:
Perform overhaul of tufting machine to include but not limited to (Needle bar rack replacement, installation of hooks, plate wires, belt replacement, and setting critical machine timing), within specified time frame
Perform machinery modifications and improvements that need to be replicated to all machines
Fabricate machine guarding as needed
Isolate and troubleshoot machine failures
Remove and install Machine Roll Covering
Assist with installation of new machinery
Maintain inventory of:
Repair Burn racks as necessary
Perform PM cycles within the specified timeframe
Meet performance metrics for quality standards and documentation metrics
Maintain Log Book of all Preventive Maintenance performed
Audit maintenance work and work with Fixers to understand failures
Promote and support the "One Interface" culture and business mission
Recommend continuous improvements in safety, cost, productivity and quality
Lead and support a work culture ensuring a safe well maintained workplace, including accident notification, investigation and recommending (changed from implementing) corrective action with follow up
Perform and ensure Lock Out/Tag Out procedures are followed
Maintain housekeeping
Comply with safety rules
Comply with environmental regulations
Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Willingness to learn and understand Interface's commitment to sustainability
Ensure ISO procedures are followed.
Perform other duties as assigned

- Mending guns and ensuring those on Tufting machine are kept in good working order
- Spare clutches and replace those on machines not working properly
- Tufting blade inventory and preparing preassembled modules
Repair Burn racks as necessary

Meet performance metrics for quality standards and documentation metrics
Maintain Log Book of all Preventive Maintenance performed
Audit maintenance work and work with Fixers to understand failures
