Cazenovia Equipment Company is a leading provider of Agricultural and Turf Equipment, serving customers across the region. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Turf Technician to join our team. As a Turf Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of a wide range of turf equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction and the efficient operation of their machinery.

Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Maintenance and Repairs:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various turf equipment, including mowers, tractors, sprayers, and utility vehicles.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and recommend appropriate repairs or replacement of parts.
• Keep detailed records of service performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Assists with keeping branch grounds, facilities, and vehicles clean and portraying a professional image.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections and setup new equipment for customers.
• Maintains current product knowledge of all products sold and serviced by Cazenovia Equipment.
• Adheres to all company workplace safety guidelines, policies and procedures, and forklift rules and regulations.

2. Parts and Inventory Management

• Identify and order necessary parts and supplies for equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tools and equipment required for the service department.

3. Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices.
• Follow company and industry regulations, guidelines, and standards related to equipment servicing and maintenance.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in turf equipment technology and attend training sessions as required.

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge

• High School diploma or equivalent; relevant technical education or certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Turf Technician or similar role, preferably in the agricultural or equipment industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of turf equipment systems, components, and diagnostics.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software, and equipment to identify and resole equipment issues.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
