Candidates will be taught to perform routine preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and troubleshooting / repairing equipment failures. This position will employ a pay for knowledge concept, so as you obtain knowledge and can demonstrated proficiency in the required skill sets, your pay will increase with each step.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for providing for the day-to-day preventive maintenance, repair, and fabrication necessary to maintain facility manufacturing machinery including conveyors, grinders, shredders, screeners, fans, heavy equipment, and etc. As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you must have the ability to read and understand mechanical\electrical diagrams and technical repair manuals. Performs other maintenance duties as required to promote overall plant productivity and safety effectiveness.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Repair and PM industrial equipment.
- Inspect and communicate condition for machinery per PM.
- Adhere to Health & Safety compliance in accordance with company policy.
- Inventory tool supply and maintain shop cleanness.
- Provide leadership to machine operators as needed.
- Establish, maintain, and promote high standards of customer service.
- Metal fabrication using cutting torch, plasma cutter, welder, and other power tools.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA procedures and practices.
- Complete paperwork on work orders and PM checklists recording all repairs and any parts used.
- Perform safety inspections on machine guarding, fire prevention equipment, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL AND JOB EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 2-3 years Industrial Maintenance experience (preferred).
- 2-3 years welding experience (preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Proven success delivering results through people.
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting work priorities and direction to ensure resources and focus on the highest value of work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor to moderate electrical mechanical issues.
- Mechanical Aptitude is a must.
ABILITIES REQUIRED
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and fingers, to handle or fell objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or pulling of controls
LICENSING AND CERTIFICATION
Forklift (forklift training will be provided) for use when bagging and staging product.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
