Visual Merchandiser Job at Coastal Greenhouses, LLC
Coastal Greenhouses grows and provides colorful Annuals, Mums, Pansies, Vegetables and Poinsettias to Top Retailers. Our plants are locally grown in New Jersey and delivered daily. Merchandisers ensure that our products are neatly and creatively displayed at every store; following plan-o-grams and using correct signage. This position is a traveling job, seasonal Full Time hours. Must be have reliable transportation to travel to the following stores: East Rutherford, North Bergen, Kearny, Linden and Jersey City. Coastal Greenhouses has been providing plants to Top retailers for 30+ years.
In this role you will:
- Execute Coastal Greenhouses standards
- Follow company plan-o-grams for correct product placement
- Unload shipping racks
- Stock and Re-stock tables and plant carts daily with fresh plants.
- Place movable racks in key positions.
- Ensure proper price signage for each item.
- Water plants when necessary.
- Discard old product.
- Communicate to manager, discrepancies and other concerns
- Follow established safety rules.
- Any other tasks as assigned from time to time.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous merchandising experience.
- Enjoys working outside, with varying weather.
- Able to work independently
- Ability to prioritize and find efficiencies to complete required tasks.
- Finish tasks in allocated time frame.
- Ability to follow direction.
- Can push, pull or move products weighing up to 40lbs.
- Likes flexible schedules with weekend work
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kearny, NJ: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
