As a Barclays VP on the Banks Coverage Team, you will be leading and assisting Relationship Directors in business development activities, business planning, customer acquisition and strategy for the largest clients within our portfolio. You will work in International Corporate Bank, which provides a suite of transaction banking products including trade, cash management, clearing, debt and FX to clients globally. Your team covers globally systemic banks (G-SIBs) in the U.S. and Canada, U.S. regional banks and Latin American banks clients.

Salary / Rate Minimum: $145,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $215,000

What will you be doing?

• Leading the Relationship Lending process alongside Investment Banking and Wholesale Lending teams; coaching, and developing junior team members
• Identifying and driving business opportunities with new and existing customers across one or more key account portfolios within an agreed client planning framework
• Covering a portfolio of existing & prospect companies in the US Banks sector and building deep customer relationships and providing excellent client service
• Leading the coordination of clients & prospect prioritization across the ICB and CIB Relationship Lending universe, with focus on capital deployment/returns
• Coordinating, evaluating, and executing large, structured transactions (valued between $5m and $1bn), under the supervision of or assisting a more senior member of the team
• Developing the portfolio through increasing wallet share and winning new business mandates across CB products, IB products, as well as Barclaycard
• Monitoring nominated accounts within account portfolios for key credit, customer and industry risks and trends that may impact portfolio
• Coordinating across Barclays’ businesses to leverage the global platform for the benefit of clients, as well as to build out “own” network

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree, solid credit skills, and prior Corporate and Investment Banking experience is required
• Prior relevant experience in customer contact in a similar marketplace developing business awareness
• Working knowledge and demonstrated experience with prior relationships for large multinational clients
• Fantastic verbal and written communicator who enjoys collaborating with others

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
