We're seeking a worker to join our team. In this role, you will work in our state-of-the-art processing plant where you could provide first level supervision in your department to ensure production standards are met, finalize products, and prepare these products for shipping. You don't have to love turkey to fit in here, but you do have to be a dependable team player. What you will do:

• Help us achieve our production goals.
• Maintain a safe working environment for all employees by following all safety rules.
• Help ensure only safe, wholesome, quality products are produced for our customers by following all good manufacturing practices.
• Perform position-specific duties as assigned by your supervisor as needed.

What to expect:

• Work 8- to 10-hour shifts on concrete floors.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 32 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Perform repetitive motions such as twisting, turning, bending and reaching.
• May lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Wear a hair net, hard hat, ear protection, safety glasses, boots and/or other personal protective equipment.
• Work with large groups of people as a team.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provides first level supervision in his/her assigned department.

2. Assists in training and developing of new production team members.

3. Communicates schedule to all team members.

4. Under supervisor's instructions organizes, staffs, coordinates, and controls production activities to achieve least-cost production.

5. Through appropriate supervisory leadership and behavior, supports the environment outlined in the Jennie-O Turkey Store Charter, Team Commitment and Managing Principles.

6. Perform Shipping Clerk duties.

7. Perform Billing and Export Clerk duties.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasional basis.

• Ability to work in a processing plant environment.

• Ability to climb stairs and/or work on elevated stands or platforms.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Simple math skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bi-lingual skills may be required depending upon the size of the department and the language needs of the workforce.

• Thorough knowledge of all jobs within the department.

• HS Diploma or equivalent
