Legacy Solar, LLC is looking to add a Warehouse Assistant to it's growing team of solar professionals. This position plays a critical role in staging and delivering job site materials as well as helping maintain an orderly warehouse. If you have previous forklift driving experience, the ability to operate a truck and trailer, and possess an impeccable safety record, then you could be the right person for this role.

Warehouse Assistant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Material Handling

• Receives and unloads semi/delivery trucks with or without fork-truck
• Prepares job site materials prior to loading
• Cleans out job trailers
• Delivers job materials to the job site via box truck or trailer
• Organizes materials delivered from vendors
• Maintains inventory levels for installation supplies
• Restocks excess materials received from the job site

Job Site Support

• Cleans up job sites
• Assists crews in the field as needed
• Runs material to crews in the field
• Assists Warehouse Director and Regional Construction Workerager with various field duties such as drone pics and other miscellaneous items

Facilities Management

• Assures panels stored outside are covered and protected from the elements
• Cleans building, including office area, bathrooms, kitchen/breakroom, shop, and outdoor facilities
• Manages inventory levels of various shop supplies
• Mows and trims facility grounds
• Trims bushes and removes trees as needed
• Regularly cleans up the yard and parking lot ares
• Sweeps out and washes vehicles
• Takes care of snow removal and de-icing
• Other miscellaneous duties as required

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates not meeting these requirements will not be hired for this position.

• Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record
• High School, GED, or equivalent
• Must be courteous and respectful with good interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to travel between job sites
• Ability to lift heavy objects (50 pounds or more), climb ladders and work in outdoor environments for extended periods
• Minimum 1 year of material handling experience or equivalent
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and properly
• Experience hitching, pulling, and backing up trailers
• Must be able to work efficiently and safely with limited oversight
• Willing to get on roofs to assist in the field when necessary
• Willing to assist ground mount crew when necessary
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check, driving record check and drug screen
• Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Full-time 40 hours per week
• Starting pay $16-20/hour (based on experience)
• Cell Phone or Phone Stipend

After 90 days of employment:

• 2 weeks paid time off (Can be used for sick or vacation time)
• 9 paid holidays per year

Starting the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment, eligibility for:

• Company paid Health Insurance: 80% paid in 1st year; 90% paid in 2nd year; 100% paid in 3rd year and in subsequent years
• Company paid Term Life Insurance
• Dental, Vision, Voluntary Life Insurance; paid fully by employee

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
