Warehouse Associate - Houston, Texas

Job Summary/Objective

Warehouse Associate will be working with the Warehouse Manager to efficiently ship and receive materials along with keeping an accurate inventory and providing a clean and safe working environment.

Essential Functions

• Assist in Shipping and Receiving materials.
• Assist in conducting physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
• Requires routine lifting/moving of up to 65 pounds, occasional lifting of heavier amounts.
• Occasional use of pallet jack to load material onto LTL service
• Assist customers with will call orders and handle occasional incoming customer calls

Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Job Attributes)

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as ship/pick tickets and reports
• Ability to speak and communicate well with team members and customers
• Attention to accuracy and detail
• Ability to recognize product numbers and insure proper retrieval of products for shipment, including identifying sequence in numbers and letters accurately.
• Punctual and Reliable
• Ability to manage time

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic computer skills to include ability to use company inventory management system (P21).
• Experience working directly with customers in person and via phone
• Ability to read, write, and to use basic math including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily productivity standards
• Capable of walking and standing for extended periods of time.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some overtime may be required.
