Job Overview:

Warehouse Supervisors will report to the Warehouse Operations Manager. Warehouse Supervisors will guide deliveries of merchandise and appliances to customers by coaching and coordinating a group of independent contractor carriers in a warehouse environment. With the leadership and support of the Warehouse Operations Manager, builds capabilities within their teams to execute the overall company's strategy and achieve results for their department(s) today and tomorrow. They work cross-functionally with key partners in our corporate office and client leadership to effectively achieve or exceed goals and produce outcomes in line with the company’s vision. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manages a team up to 10 people across a 24hr / 7 day a week operation.
    • Oversees the daily workflow of the warehouse and organizes staff to ensure completion of task for all shifts.
    • Develop a highly motivated workforce and a teamwork-based culture.
    • Execute warehouse and team goals in collaboration with the Warehouse Operations Manager.
    • Train and cross train employees and conduct annual performance reviews.
    • Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
    • Liaising with client and delivery teams
    • Support Delivery Teams and Operations team during load out and check in events.
  • Ensure the performance of client contract requirements at service levels that exceed the client's standards and metrics.
    • Coordinates receiving of all material, items, and products; making sure they are sorted, labelled, inspected, and stored per company and client standards or policies.
    • Ensure operational deadlines and quality objectives are met.
    • Maintain tote inventory program.
    • Must be able to produce or quickly obtain certification and safely operate forklift, floor scrubber and waste management equipment.
    • Maintain a clean dock with trash processed daily.
    • Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
    • Execute warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.
    • Audit and report inventory daily.
    • Claim Management
      • Communicate updates to Diakon Claims Administrator
      • Conduct a thorough investigation following Diakon’s Claim SOP
      • Protect Diakon’s business interests and exposure.
      • Educate delivery teams on Clients claim process to avoid risk.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Bilingual with Spanish highly preferred.
  • Leadership and motivational skills / Ability to positively impact performance.
  • Ability to operate in strict time frame environment.
  • Proficient in and high level of understanding of Warehouse Management System, Blue Yonder experience is preferred.
  • Strong Excel spreadsheet skills; proficiency in MS Office application.
  • Hands-on management approach that shares responsibilities to ensure the customer is served.
  • Effective communication skills with awareness of relationship building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Forklift experience and certification preferred.
  • Ability to work on your feet.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to ninety (90) pounds.
  • Bachelors’ Degree and/or 2-4 years in the logistics/supply chain field preferred.

Salary: $45,000 -55,000/year, DOE; plus, benefits and potential for bonus
