About the Opportunity:

Joint Enterprise Technologies is currently seeking an experienced Watch Officer to provide support to the Enterprise Watch Command Center to ensure monitoring, tracking, escalation and documenting of enterprise level incidents affecting our customers' critical business functions.

Required Clearance:

  • AN ACTIVE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO APPLY.
  • Willingness to submit to and pass a Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph.

Location:

  • Colorado Springs, CO

Shift Requirement:

  • MID SHIFT 6:00PM – 6:00AM
  • ROTATION: 2 DAYS ON, 2 DAYS OFF, 3 DAYS ON, 2 DAYS OFF

Functional Duties:

  • Monitor and track service changes impacting the enterprise infrastructure.
  • Work with Service Operations team staff during the installation, upgrade, or decommissioning of software and infrastructure, to monitor and track potential impact to the enterprise
  • Using monitoring tools to monitors and analyze critical alerts regarding outages or degradation in service affecting enterprise applications and services
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures for incident monitoring
  • Assist with MAJOR Severity Level calls (initiating conference calls, identifying appropriate service line resources, documenting timeline of events, etc.)
  • Preparing, updating, and reporting Situational Awareness to the ESOC PMO and Client Liaisons
  • Monitor planned and unplanned service changes
  • Assist with preparation and updates to Outage and Resolution Notifications for Severity Level Incidents, Advisory Notifications, and Planned Outage Notifications.
  • Assist with SharePoint Outage Tracker entries and updates
  • Assist with setting up conference bridges in support of Severity Level 1 and 2 incidents and engaging appropriate resources
  • Archive Daily Operations Reports and Shift Change Logs (Day Shift)
  • Perform trend analysis reports as requested
  • Check the status of CRITICAL Service Level incident tickets, and close if possible
  • Check the status of Prolonged/Multiple Transfers of incident tickets and close if possible
  • Perform Tier 1 vetting and triage of incident tickets to facilitate accurate and effective outage handling procedures and resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Hold an ITIL and/or technical certification
  • Technical background and strong IT skills/knowledge in networking and/or desktop support
  • Strong understanding of ITIL concepts
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and desktop application
  • Basic knowledge of ServiceNow, Windows Desktops, or other IT Service Management System

Education and Experience: Must be an IT-related degree.

  • HS/GED + 9 years experience
  • Associates Degree + 7 years experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years experience
  • Master’s Degree + 3 years experience
  • PhD + 1 years experience

Required Certifications:

  • ITIL Foundations
  • A minimum of one certification from each of the following categories:
    • IAT II – Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, CND, or SSCP; can be obtained within 120 days of hire date.
    • IASAE II – A+ CE, HDI-CSR, HDI-SCD, HDI-SCA, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft 365; can be obtained within 120 days of hire date.
