Job Description:

BASIC PURPOSE: The Web Content Manager will be an instrumental part of the Integrated Marketing team tasked with enhancing and maintaining a high-performing website, an internal portal, and an associated mobile application; editing, and publishing of web content; search engine optimization (SEO); and executing the University's web marketing strategies to attract, nurture, and ultimately engage a variety of targeted audiences. This position will also be responsible for collaborating across campus to determine web based KPIs and with the use of Google Analytics, analyze user engagement to identify content effectiveness.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • The Content Manager will be responsible for creating and updating web pages, collaborating on branding efforts, and executing email marketing duties;
  • Encourage and facilitate consistent, creative, and unified web design across the University's web properties;
  • Monitor the changing digital landscape and serve as in-house subject matter expert on organic search (SEO);
  • Collect and analyze web analytics (using Google Analytics) to identify opportunities to improve SEO, web traffic, content effectiveness, and user engagement;
  • Partner with IT and external vendors to execute website, portal, and mobile application enhancements and modifications;
  • Monitor continued website accessibility and compliance making updates as necessary;
  • Maintains current knowledge of best practices and emerging developments in web design, development, and technology;
  • Partner with department contacts to ensure the quality and accuracy of content updates;
  • Provide outstanding service to internal clients, with an ability to prioritize activities to meet project goals on time and on budget;
  • Adhere to the University's brand guidelines to ensure consistency in style and tone, and maintain the highest possible quality standards on a consistent basis;
  • Participate in team, department, and cross-functional team meetings as necessary;
  • Performs other related duties as required.


Requirements:

1. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college/university required;

2. 2-3 years of work experience (higher education experience would be a plus);

3. Demonstrated proficiency creating, editing, and publishing online content (landing pages, video, imagery) within a CMS environment (Drupal and WordPress) and an understanding of HTML/CSS;

4. Excellent writing skills with ability to proofread and assist with SEO efforts by creating/strengthening keyword optimization;

5. Ability to analyze Google Analytics website data and statistics and report on trends/areas for optimization;

6. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills;

7. Solid project management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;

8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including oral and written, and a commitment to outstanding customer service;

9. Ability to work independently while openly communicating back to management and escalating issues;

10. Must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University;

11. COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster required.
