Yellow Flag Productions is seeking a passionate, driven Web Content Writer to join the company and lead the creation of compelling, relatable, accessible digital content to further brand messaging and standards. The ideal candidate has significant experience creating engaging digital content for consumption across multiple platforms adhering to accessibility standards. The ideal candidate should also have experience leading content quality assurance efforts including copyediting, style guide creation, proofreading checklists, and managing workflows.

Experience / Qualifications

• The successful candidate must demonstrate experience, skills, and commitment to fostering an environment of belonging, diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and skills
• Major(s) required: Communications, English, Journalism, Publishing & Editing or similar 1 - 3 years of position-related experience
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and impeccable grammar and spelling abilities
• Must be proficient in website software (WordPress)
• Maintain high standards for consistency of messaging, voice, and brand

Responsibilities

• Use web publishing and writing skills to further company's reputation and goals.
• Must be able to navigate and use the web publishing tools used by the University.
• Must be able to create original content that meets standards for quality, consistency, and formatting.
• Maintain and present data to supervisors and staff related to the number of users, page views, and other metrics.
• Collaborate with other employees, agency staff, as well as freelance writers and marketing teams.
• Ability to perform copy-editing tasks and use basic computer software.
• Perform equally well in a team setting and independently.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or a similar field is a great plus
• 2-4 Years of Demonstrated experience
• Examples of articles, blogs, newsletters, or any content you have written for previous companies/universities
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are a must.
• Knowledge of Adobe Applications, Mailchimp, and/or Hootsuite is a plus.
