Weekend Supervisor Job at Woodridge of Tennessee LLC
Job duties of a RN House Supervisor includes the following:
- Performs management activities including interviewing, hiring and firing.
- Continuously supervises staff to ensure quality of nursing care.
- Maintains performance improvement activities for the department.
- Provides education to staff on performance improvement. Ability to plan and organize orientation and in-service training for unit staff members, participates in guidance and educational programs.
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of patient including, pediatric, adolescent, adult and the geriatric population.
- Performs nursing assessments on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and the general patient population.
- Assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
- Performs thorough patient psychiatric interviews.
- Continuously observes patient's behavior, mental status and activities.
- Formulates and implements patient plans of care; family is included when appropriate.
- Revises plans of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluates overall plan daily for effectiveness
- Performs treatments and provides services to level of licensure.
Qualified RN House Supervisor candidates should have the following:
- Associate Degree or above in Nursing from an accredited school
- Valid active Missouri or Compact Registered Nurse license and active BLS Certification
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in nursing with one (1) additional year of experience in psychiatric behavioral nursing preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to always follow them
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
