This position is for a New Jersey unit of Mettler-Toledo named Troemner. We are located about 15 miles from Philadelphia in Thorofare, NJ. Mettler-Toledo acquired Troemner in 2016. Since 1840, Troemner has long legacy of excellence to offer our employees and customers. Our weights are manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility using the finest materials and equipment available. We provide unmatched measurements and metrological analysis. In addition to weights and calibration services, we also manufacture a full line of laboratory equipment including shakers, hotplates, and vortex mixers.
Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
These roles will begin as temporary assignments but may lead to full time roles.
As our lab technician, you will be responsible for:
- Inspecting, verifying, cleaning and packing weights of various sizes.
- Having an eye for quality and an ability to follow procedures while moving at a quick pace but still being delicate at the same time.
- Polishing or grinding weights may be required with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
- Basic data entry.
- Communicating with co-workers, working as a team, solving problems.
What You Need to Succeed
- A desire to work in a family-like atmosphere.
- A willingness to learn new skills.
- The ability to follow our company policies and regulations including safety, housekeeping, quality of work, and confidentiality of information to maintain our ISO accreditation programs.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- No experience needed as we have a great training program.
