What the Wine Bar Kitchen Cook does!
As the Wine Bar Kitchen Cook, you’ll prepare and execute recipes for Wine Bar 107 (WB) and Testarossa University (TU) experiences menu. These recipes include delicious small plates, such as meat and cheese platters, to pair with our world class pinot noir and chardonnay. You’ll also maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and assist with inventory and ordering of ingredients. Working at our historic winery Wednesday – Sunday 10am – 6:30pm, the day to day may include:
- Accurately, efficiently, and expertly follow and execute recipes
- Preparing food portions ahead in preparation for busy times (cut cheese, fruit, etc.)
- Labeling, stocking, and organizing all ingredients
- Cleaning and sanitizing all working surfaces, work areas, tools, utensils, and equipment
- Assisting the Wine Bar Kitchen Lead to take and report daily inventory levels to CDC
- Performing other related duties as required and assigned
Wine Bar Kitchen Cook Requirements
- Food service experience preferred
- Current California Food Handlers Certification: ability to acquire
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Must be proactive, willing to learn, work with a sense of urgency and have a positive attitude
- Possess, or willingness to learn, safe knife skills
- Health & sanitation knowledge preferred
- Have a respectful, team, and solution approach with the ability to take direction and feedback
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work shifts Wednesday – Sunday, holidays required
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift; 7+ hours
- Walk, stand, bend, kneel, and reach frequently for the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Work mostly performed indoors, but sometimes outdoors in various weather conditions

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
