Logan River Academy is looking for entry-level or experienced individuals who have a passion for helping others and the desire to make a difference. At LRA, we're committed to providing quality care and mentoring for youth ages 12-18 who have Autism and other mental health disorders.

The night watch youth mentors provide supervision for our students during night time hours of our residential program. Get paid to read, do homework, watch movies or play video games! We offer competitive medical benefits, 401k, on-the-job training, flexibility in schedules and more.

Requirements:

• Must be 20 years old
• Stay awake though your shift
• Patient and Compassionate
• Be able to pass an FBI Rap Back Background Check
• Physically able to respond quickly from any position, walk quickly or jog short distances, stand on feet for a minimum of 15 minutes, and lift up 50 pounds

Duties of role may include:

• Providing direct care to clients struggling with psychological and mental disorders or other setbacks in their lives; such as autism, depression, trauma, past drug issues, etc., during night time/sleeping hours.
• Staying alert throughout the night & ensuring safety of students by doing bed checks.
• Following procedures, documentation and instructions, both written and verbal.
• Pre Shift meetings for trainings and receiving information from managers to ensure good communication.
• Other duties may be assigned or necessary to support the program and/or company.

Additional Information/Requirements:

• Must be 20 years old
• Ability to pass an FBI Rap Back Background Check
• Must be able to stay awake through the night
• CPR/First Aid Certified - provided by agency
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) - provided by agency

This position is during the night time hours, with shifts within these times:

Monday-Friday: 11:00pm-9:00am

Saturday-Sunday: 11:00pm-9:00am

You must be able to stay awake and alert during those hours of the night in order to ensure supervision of students in our program. We allow our nightwatch to bring appropriate items from home to keep you awake & entertained at night, such as books, video games, movies, etc., as long as it does not distract from attention to the safety of students or distract students from sleep.
