Accounting-Senior Accountant Job at Four Queens Hotel and Casino
SUMMARY:
Responsible for all general ledger activities and preparation of monthly financial statements for a gaming/hospitality operation. Assist with financial analysis, operational audits, and special projects in accordance with GAAP & gaming standards. Ensure that internal and external reporting is completed in a timely & accurate manner.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or the equivalent.
College diploma or the equivalent
- Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close.
- Review, complete, and report daily bank activities to management.
- Maintain, reconcile, & track capital projects and fixed asset schedules on a monthly basis.
- Prepare local, state, & federal tax/informational returns.
- Assist with annual budgets, financial forecasts, and analysis.
- Collaborate with operating and internal audit departments to ensure internal control processes are effective and documented accordingly.
- Assist with the identification of operational efficiencies and streamline business processes.
- Collect and analyze complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.
- Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff, and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Experience with operational applications highly preferred: JDE, Stratton Warren, and Kronos.
