We are currently seeking a Client Accounting Specialist in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will be a proactive thinker, have a thirst for analyzing data, and a proven record of delivering results!

In this key Accounting role, we need a results-oriented, self-starter who will be responsible for providing bookkeeping services and managing client engagement. You will contribute to process improvements as well as manage the workload for client assignments.

Job functions include:

• Print checks and record deposits
• Create invoices and enter bills
• Reconcile statements
• Post journal entries and reconcile accounts
• Research and investigate inquiries
• Process payroll (interact with payroll provider) and review and reconcile payroll reports
• Process 1099s
• Review ledger and balance sheets
• Generate reports
• Resolve problems or escalate as necessary
• Work with CPAs to prepare tax forms

Qualifications Include:

• High school diploma
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred but not required
• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Prior experience in the construction or contracting industries a plus
• Customer-centric with excellent relationship building skills
• Detailed, well-organized, confident with superior communication skills
• Strong computer skills and highly proficient in QuickBooks and Excel
• Self-started with outstanding time management skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• Results-oriented with a high level of integrity, dependability, and a strong sense of urgency
• Must reside in the Charlotte area and be willing to travel to multiple client sites 50% of the time
