Spofford Enterprises is looking to expand our Salem, NH finance & accounting team with a staff accountant and accounts payable specialist. We are an entrepreneurial investment firm specializing in real estate and venture capital with offices in Salem, NH and Miami, FL.

Accounts Payable Specialist:

The Accounts Payable Specialist position will report to, and work directly with, the Controller and will be involved in accounts payable & receivable procedures, office file management, digitizing current and past documentation, as well as all other office tasks & ad-hoc projects. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, have great time management skills, and have a strong desire to learn. They also have a can-do attitude, willing to jump into projects and are willing to lend a helping hand in new and unfamiliar tasks. Proficiency in MS Office programs is needed. Experience with QuickBooks and/or NetSuite is a plus. Experience with Divvy and bill.com & is a plus.

Responsibilities:

· Collect invoices & other back up information

· Work with operators to properly code invoices

· Cut checks

· Compile weekly check run report for approval

· Contact vendors for tax information & prepare 1099s at year end

· Invoice customers

· Organize, file and digitize documents

· Assist with establishing processes and procedures

Qualifications Needed:

· Associate’s degree or higher

· 2+ years of related experience

· Proficient in MS Office - Excel, Outlook, Word

· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

· Quickbooks and/or NetSuite experience is a plus

· Organized

· Must be an independent worker

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,477.00 - $49,635.00 per year
