Basic Function:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist in planning, developing and organizing activity program and schedule. Supervise, perform and/or initiate activities as schedules. Make routine visits to all assigned residents encouraging participation in activities. Participate in community planning related to the interest and needs of the residents. Arrange for transportation, reservation, etc., as required. Interview residents/families to assist in developing resident assessment and activity care plan, involving resident/family in planning objectives when possible. Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary.
Customer Service: Interact with our patients, residents, families, and other staff (customers) to provide enthusiastic, timely responses to inquiries, concerns, and/or needs related to care and service.
Policies and Procedures: Responsible for assuring that all activity procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
Experience: Prior experience in a health care facility preferred.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
